What is Iso Whey Zero by BiotechUSA?

Iso Whey Zero is BiotechUSA's flagship whey protein isolate β€” the product that has built the brand's reputation in the European premium protein market since its launch. Delivering approximately 22g of pure protein per 25g serving from 100% native whey isolate, with zero added sugar, zero lactose, zero trans fat and zero gluten, it is one of the cleanest and most rigorously produced whey isolate powders available at its price point.

What sets Iso Whey Zero apart is the quality of its raw material and the production process applied to it. The whey protein isolate is sourced from fresh cow's milk from Dutch farms, where cows graze freely on grass-based feed for most of the year β€” an ethical and traceable sourcing origin. After pasteurisation, instead of the high-temperature treatments used in conventional processing, BiotechUSA applies an additional low-temperature filtration step that preserves bacterial elimination while protecting the protein's native structure. This native preservation maintains the full biological activity of whey proteins, including their naturally occurring immunoglobulins, lactoferrin and growth factors.

The purification technology used is CFM β€” Cross-Flow Microfiltration and Ultrafiltration. This revolutionary cold process removes fat and lactose from the whey protein without enzymatic treatment or chemical additives, resulting in an isolate that contains at least 64% less lactose than comparable products on the market, while keeping the protein in its most intact, bioavailable native form.

The formula is enriched with added L-glutamine and free-form BCAAs (L-leucine 0.2%, L-isoleucine 0.1%, L-valine 0.1%), providing an additional amino acid boost on top of the already complete native whey amino profile.

Available in 908g (36 servings) across 13 flavours covering every occasion and taste preference, from indulgent (Tiramisu, Cookies & Cream, Lemon Cheesecake, CafΓ© Latte) to classic (Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry) and exotic (Pineapple-Mango, Coco, Pistachio).

Zero compromises. Native isolate. 36 servings of pure quality.

How Iso Whey Zero by BiotechUSA supports your objectives

πŸ’ͺ ~22g of native whey protein isolate per 25g serving Whey protein isolate is the purest form of dairy protein available, with a higher protein concentration per gram, lower fat and lower carbohydrate content than whey concentrate. Iso Whey Zero delivers approximately 22g of this premium protein in just 25g of powder β€” one of the best protein-to-serving ratios available in its category. Protein contributes to both the growth and maintenance of muscle mass, making every serving a direct investment in lean body composition.

πŸ”¬ Native CFM whey isolate β€” preserved biological value The cross-flow micro and ultrafiltration (CFM) process preserves the native structure of whey proteins, including immunoglobulins, lactoferrin and growth factors that are destroyed by heat treatment in conventional processing. Native whey isolate has a higher biological value β€” a measure of how efficiently the body can use the protein β€” than denatured or heat-treated isolates. This means more of each gram of protein consumed is actually available for muscle protein synthesis rather than being lost to incomplete absorption or utilisation.

🧬 At least 64% less lactose β€” superior tolerance The CFM technology removes lactose without enzymatic treatment or chemical additives, resulting in a product that is genuinely lactose-free (< 0.1g lactose per 100ml ready-to-drink). This makes Iso Whey Zero one of the most broadly tolerated dairy protein supplements available, suitable for individuals with lactose sensitivity who cannot comfortably consume standard whey concentrates.

🚫 Zero sugar, zero trans fat, zero gluten β€” truly clean macros Iso Whey Zero lives up to its name: zero added sugar, zero trans fat, zero gluten. Each serving provides only the protein, a trace of naturally occurring fat from the creamer, a small carbohydrate fraction from the creamer components, and the added amino acids. There are no empty calories, no hidden nutrients and no unnecessary additives beyond the functional components required for texture, solubility and flavour.

⚑ Added L-glutamine and BCAAs for enhanced recovery On top of the naturally high glutamine and BCAA content of native whey, the formula adds free-form L-glutamine (2.5% of the formula) and free-form BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine) directly to the matrix. Free-form amino acids enter the bloodstream faster than protein-bound amino acids, providing an immediate anabolic and anti-catabolic signal that complements the sustained release of native whey peptides.

🎯 Goal guide

πŸ‹οΈ Mass gain: 2 servings/day post-workout and morning. Pure protein with no unnecessary calories for lean mass building.

πŸ”₯ Weight loss / cutting: 1 to 2 servings/day. Zero sugar, lactose-free, ~93 kcal per serving β€” the ideal cut-phase protein.

βš–οΈ Body recomposition: 1 to 2 servings/day post-workout. Maximum protein quality, minimum caloric cost.

Serving suggestion

Mix 1 scoop (25g = 2 heaped tablespoons) with 200ml of cold water in a shaker bottle. For accurate measurement, use a kitchen scale. Take 2 servings daily β€” 1 serving immediately after training on training days, and 1 serving in the morning on rest days. Can also be mixed with skimmed milk for a creamier texture and higher protein content, or incorporated into food preparations (pancakes, muffins, overnight oats, smoothies, yoghurt bowls).

Best times to enjoy it

πŸ‹οΈ Immediately post-workout (primary window) The 30 to 45-minute window following training is when muscle protein synthesis is most elevated and amino acid demand is highest. A single 25g serving of Iso Whey Zero provides the fast-absorbing whey isolate fraction with the additional free-form BCAA and glutamine boost needed to maximise the post-exercise anabolic response.

πŸŒ… Morning A fast-absorbing whey isolate at breakfast breaks the overnight fast and prevents muscle catabolism that accumulates during prolonged fasting. The low caloric content (~93 kcal in water) makes it an excellent high-protein morning addition without overloading the caloric budget.

β˜€οΈ Between meals Iso Whey Zero's clean profile makes it suitable for inter-meal consumption at any point in the day without adding significant fat, sugar or unwanted calories. For athletes who need to hit high daily protein targets, additional servings between meals complement whole-food protein sources efficiently.

🍳 In recipes The creamy, flavour-rich profile of Iso Whey Zero integrates naturally into cooking and baking. It can be mixed into pancake batters, muffins, sponge cakes and smoothies simultaneously increasing protein content and adding flavour. The powder dissolves well and does not produce a rubbery texture in cooked preparations.

Daily protein target reminder

Current sports nutrition science recommends 1.6 to 2.2g of protein per kg of body weight per day for active individuals. Each 25g serving of Iso Whey Zero contributes approximately 21 to 22g toward this daily target.

Body weightMin. target (1.6g/kg)Max. target (2.2g/kg)Servings needed*
55 kg88g/day121g/day1 serving covers ~22g
65 kg104g/day143g/day1 serving covers ~22g
75 kg120g/day165g/day1 serving covers ~22g
85 kg136g/day187g/day1 serving covers ~22g
95 kg152g/day209g/day1 serving covers ~22g

*Total daily protein should come from both Iso Whey Zero and whole food sources.

Goal-specific guidance

For mass gain: Use 2 servings per day β€” one post-workout and one in the morning or between meals β€” as the protein foundation of a caloric surplus diet. The native isolate's high biological value ensures maximum amino acid utilisation per gram consumed. Combine with a caloric top-up from whole foods, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats to achieve the required surplus.

For weight loss and cutting: Iso Whey Zero is one of the most calorie-efficient protein supplements available β€” approximately 93 kcal per 25g serving in water, with zero sugar, zero fat (beyond trace amounts) and no unnecessary macronutrients. At this protein-to-calorie ratio, it is particularly suited to daily use during caloric restriction, where maintaining muscle protein synthesis at minimal caloric cost is the primary nutritional objective.

πŸ… Sport Nutrition "Did you know?"

The "native" descriptor applied to the whey isolate in Iso Whey Zero refers to the preservation of the protein's three-dimensional structure β€” the same structure it has in fresh milk, before any heat, acid or enzymatic treatment alters it. This matters because protein bioactivity β€” the ability of specific protein fractions to interact meaningfully with cellular receptors and biological processes β€” depends on the intact three-dimensional structure. Lactoferrin, for example, loses its iron-binding capacity and much of its immune-modulating activity when denatured by heat. Immunoglobulins lose their antibody function. By maintaining native structure through cold-process CFM technology, Iso Whey Zero preserves these bioactive fractions in their active form β€” making it not just a source of amino acids, but a source of functional proteins with biological value beyond muscle building.

Q1 β€” What is the difference between Iso Whey Zero and a standard whey protein concentrate? Whey protein concentrate (WPC) is filtered to approximately 70 to 80% protein by weight, retaining more fat, lactose and carbohydrates. Whey protein isolate (WPI) undergoes additional filtration, achieving 90%+ protein by weight with dramatically reduced fat and lactose. Iso Whey Zero uses native whey isolate produced by cold CFM technology, which also preserves the protein's native bioactive fractions (immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, growth factors) that are destroyed in heat-treated concentrates. The result is a protein with higher purity, higher biological value, better lactose tolerance and a cleaner macronutrient profile β€” at the cost of a higher price per gram of product.

Q2 β€” Is Iso Whey Zero suitable for people with lactose intolerance? Yes. The CFM technology removes lactose to below 0.1g per 100ml of ready-to-drink product β€” the EU threshold for lactose-free declaration. The reduction is at least 64% compared to similar products on the market. Iso Whey Zero is one of the best-tolerated dairy proteins available for individuals with lactose sensitivity. Note that it does contain milk protein and is not suitable for individuals with a milk protein allergy (as distinct from lactose intolerance).

Q3 β€” Do the Cookies & Cream, Tiramisu and CafΓ© Latte variants contain caffeine? Yes. Cookies & Cream contains trace caffeine from its flavouring system. Tiramisu and CafΓ© Latte contain instant coffee, which naturally contains caffeine. The specific caffeine quantities are not declared on available product pages. Athletes who are highly caffeine-sensitive or who consume other caffeine sources throughout the day should be aware of this. All other flavours do not contain caffeine in their declared ingredient lists.

Q4 β€” Can I use Iso Whey Zero in cooking and baking? Yes. The brand explicitly confirms that Iso Whey Zero can be mixed into cake batters, pancakes, muffins and sponge cakes. It simultaneously increases the protein content of the dish and adds flavour. The vanilla, chocolate and cafΓ© latte variants are particularly versatile for baking. Note that high baking temperatures will denature some of the native protein fractions β€” the amino acid content remains intact, but the bioactive properties of the native fractions (lactoferrin, immunoglobulins) will be reduced.

Q5 β€” How many servings does the 908g bag provide and which format offers the best value? At 25g per serving, the 908g bag provides exactly 36 servings β€” approximately 3 weeks of use at 2 servings per day, or 5 to 6 weeks at 1 serving per day. BiotechUSA also offers a 1816g format (72 servings) at better cost-per-serving for athletes who use Iso Whey Zero as their primary protein source. The 908g format is ideal for athletes testing a new flavour or maintaining a moderate daily protein supplementation protocol.
